Leeds United have been strongly linked with Hertha Berlin attacker Matheus Cunha once again this week.

UOL had reported that the Brazilian had been demanded by Marcelo Bielsa, as he plots his summer transfer action early.

Updates on Sunday appear to shut them down though, with Graham Smyth claiming the move is unlikely.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Smyth responded to a fan by sharing that Bielsa was unlikely to make such a demand.

"After," he said.

"I'd be quite confident that Bielsa hasn't made such a demand."

Here we go.

One thing that is always certain, is that Leeds will be linked with every single South American player in each transfer window.

That is what Bielsa brings with him to Elland Road, and it is something that makes us reluctant to celebrate transfers until they are actually announced.

Cunha is set to leave for the Olympics in Tokyo with Brazil soon, and that would surely affect any possible move and then his ability to gain fitness under Bielsa in pre-season.

After the debacle of Jean Kevin-Augustin, we believe it would be highly unlikely that the Whites would go for a similar player this year.

Smyth is confident that no demands will have been made, leaving Victor Orta and his team to conduct their business.

Cunha is another name we could now tick off the list, leaving your guess as good as ours as to who could be the new attacker coming through the door this summer.

Orta wanted his transfer business to be more discreet, and it looks as though he is getting his wish.
