Gary Neville shares 'nervy' Leeds United verdict live from Etihad on Sky Sports
Gary Neville has shared a Leeds United verdict whilst commentating on Manchester City's Premier League clash against Chelsea.
Sam Allardyce's side went down 3-1 against West Ham on Sunday afternoon to leave their survival hopes hanging by a thread.
Talking live on Sky Sports, Neville has claimed the Whites are now in "big trouble" ahead of their final-day clash against Tottenham.
"It's going to take a lot now for Leeds after what has just happened earlier," said Neville (Sky Sports 4:45pm, 21 May).
"They're in big trouble, still it's going to be a nervy last day at Goodison Park for sure."
Not wrong
Neville is right. Leeds should probably start planning for Championship. They needed to come away victorious against the Hammers. Things started off so well, but ultimately, this squad is desperately short in terms of quality and know-how.
The Whites now need a minor miracle to occur on the final day. They need Bournemouth to do them a favour against Everton and get the job done themselves against Tottenham. Getting in front early is an absolute must. Spurs are capable of crumbling and if Leeds can register an early lead, the news will soon filter to Goodison Park.
That's when the nerves could kick in on the blue side of Merseyside. Sean Dyche's men secured a last-gasp draw against Wolves to make life even harder for Leeds. Anything is possible, but right now, things certainly look bleak for the Yorkshire side.
If the worst does happen, Radrizzani and the board have an awful lot to answer for.
In other Leeds United news, one Whites youngster is reportedly going to be watched through the under-20 World Cup by Real Madrid.
