Erik ten Hag would "gladly" take Leeds United star Tyler Adams and Manchester United, according to a report in Tutto Mercato Web [29 May].

The United States international has been one of Leeds' best players this past season but missed the last few months due to injury.

However, with relegation, he has been mooted as one of the names who could leave the club this summer, and Old Trafford could be a destination for him.

Surely not?

Leeds fans would hate if one of their best players ends up leaving and moving to Manchester United - their arch rivals.

However, Adams has just been at the club for one season and does not feel the same kind of animosity as some of the other players.

Kalvin Phillips, for example, would perhaps never have considered moving there but that's because he's grown up as a Leeds fan.

If Adams is to leave, Leeds need to ensure that they get top value for the player as there will be a lot of clubs interested in signing him.

They can spark a bidding war for the American as a lot of teams will be looking at midfielders and given his age and quality, he would make for a good signing.

The last thing Leeds fans would want is to sell him to Man United, but if they're the only suitors and the player wants the move, it might end up happening.
