Daniel Farke will be rubbing his hands with glee after 'significant' update that affects Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Daniel Farke will have been hoping for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to have a successful international break away from Leeds United.
The German head coach has always been vocal in his belief that his striker is good enough to play for England.
Calvert-Lewin appears to have carried his momentum from last term into the new campaign, and already has four goals for the Whites.
Thomas Tuchel decided to call upon the 29-year-old ahead of England's Nations League fixtures, but has yet to start him.
Harry Kane is the obvious option for the Three Lions, and even the skipper himself has admitted that he wants to play every game he can for his country.
Though Leeds fans will want to see Calvert-Lewin in action for England against Croatia on Friday, what may happen could only grant Farke's wishes.
Sky reporter shares 'significant' England update that affects Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Calvert-Lewin grabbed seven minutes off the bench in the 3-2 loss against Spain, while he was forced to watch the entire game against the Czech Republic from the sidelines.
There is also general frustration when important players receive an international call-up but fail to get much of a chance to impress.
This is because they are temporarily taken away from their team, and any work that is done over the break before club football resumes.
Speaking live on Sky Sports News this Saturday ahead of England's game against Croatia, Rob Dorsett shared an update on who may play up front for the Three Lions.
Dorsett said: "I expect Kane to lead the line. That's quite a story in itself because that would be three games in the trot that Kane has started for England now in the space of eight days.
"At the age of 33, that's significant, isn't it, as well for the England captain?"
With that said, Farke will no doubt be the happiest person associated with Leeds about the news.
Calvert-Lewin is a crucial player for the Leeds boss, and his chances of picking up an injury have now been diminished even further, as he looks set to start on the bench.
England will have just one game left in the break after playing Croatia, and Tuchel may very well go with his strongest team possible once again.
This gives Calvert-Lewin a boosted chance to be ready to start in Leeds' returning game against Arsenal on Saturday, 10 October.
The best Leeds situation in England vs Croatia
James Trafford is set to be dropped from the England side after playing in his nation's previous two games.
Tuchel's plan was to always play the 23-year-old in England's first two Nations League matches, before giving Jordan Pickford his place back in the team.
Selfishly, it would be good for Leeds if Pickford has a howler against Croatia and then against the Czech Republic, as it would only boost Trafford's chances of taking the number one spot.
This could help Trafford's market value surge, as goalkeepers have a far lesser chance of getting injured anywhere.
On the other hand, if Calvert-Lewin is to play one more time for England during the break, it would be best if he features against Croatia off the bench and misses the match on Tuesday.
This would most likely result in him coming back to Thorp Arch fully fit and raring to go.
