Burnley could have as many as nine players unavailable for the Championship clash against Leeds United on Saturday (14 September), according to Leeds Live.

The website reported that, while Josh Cullen could be in line to start at Elland Road, Manuel Benson and Maxime Esteve were absent for their nations during the international break.

It is understood that Hannes Delcroix is a doubt, with Jordan Beyer, Hjalmar Ekdal, Aaron Ramsey, Enock Agyei, Mike Tresor and Nathan Redmond not expected to feature against the Whites.

Leeds United v Burnley injury news emerges

Without the international break, Daniel Farke's go into the clash off the back of a couple of 2-0 wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Hull, making it three clean sheets on the bounce.

New signing Manor Solomon has hit the ground running at Elland Road, with Mateo Joseph loving life in his new position, seeing Leeds thrive despite several departures this summer.

The Clarets are likely to be one of the teams challenging Leeds for promotion this season, having claimed seven points from their opening four matches, including a 4-1 win over Luton Town and a 5-0 win over Cardiff City.

Scott Parker's side are a dangerous prospect to face in the first game back after the international break, but the injury list at Turf Moor could already have a telling say on the result.

History also speaks for itself on this occasion, with the Whites going unbeaten against Burnley in their last five meetings in all competitions, with the two last facing off in the Premier League.

Farke will need his players to return to Elland Road unharmed if they are to capitalise on the Clarets' current lack of options in the squad and move closer to the summit of the Championship table.
