Burnley have taken to TikTok to mock Leeds United following the two clubs Championship showdown at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke's side tasted a first league defeat of the season as Scott Parker's Clarets ran out 1-0 winners on Saturday (14 September) to leave the Whites five points adrift of league leaders West Brom.

Although it is still early in the season, the clash between the two sides already felt like a bit of a promotion showdown and Burnley were quick to poke fun at the Whites following the full-time whistle.

The Clarets' official TikTok account posted a video on Sunday (15 September) of Koeosho's winning goal with the Joy Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' in the background, a song often changed to Leeds are falling apart by opposition fans.

Will Leeds United win promotion back to the Premier League at Elland Road?

Clashes against Leeds United are going to be a lot of team's cup finals this season and while it is frustrating to see Burnley poke fun at the Whites, it is part and parcel of being one of the biggest teams in the division.

In each and every game that Farke's side plays this term, they are going to have a target on their backs and it is now down to them to show that they can deal with that and continue to perform and pick up results.

Leeds simply have to be better than they were on Saturday however if they want to win promotion back to the Premier League. Those sorts of games can be campaign-defining and the Whites just let it pass them by last time out.

It is still early in the season and there is a lot of football to be played, but Leeds cannot give their promotion rivals too big of a head start. That's what they did last term and it put them on the back foot for the remainder of the year.

Hopefully, Farke's side will quickly bounce back against Cardiff City on Saturday (21 September) and get back to winning ways.
