Ben Parker was left blown away by Leeds United under-23s star Sam Greenwood against Aston Villa on Friday evening.

The young Whites needed one point to secure promotion to division one of the Premier League 2 and got off to the perfect start through the former Arsenal talent.

Greenwood has scored numerous free-kicks this season and curled one home after only three minutes at Bodymoor Heath.

Speaking on live LUTV coverage of the game, Parker ran out of superlatives to describe the early strike to give the Whites the upper hand.

"Sam Greenwood, stop that right now,"

"It's getting outrageous, it's getting ridiculous. You mention the wall, the wall has jumped and the keeper has absolutely no chance.

"To score one free-kick like that in a season, you'd be happy, but I've lost count of how many he has scored."

Untouchable.

Greenwood has scored some absolute worldies so far this season for the under-23s, and this has just been added to the list.

The free-kick against West Brom last time out before this one will take some beating though, as he smashed that one home from nearly double the distance.

Both Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt will be looking to catch the eye of Marcelo Bielsa, and although the latter missed a penalty only minutes later, the duo were irresistible.

These highlights aren't exactly what we love most about them, with their non-stop workrate and desire to win the ball back is perfect for this Whites squad.

With Premier League survival all-but-secured, it would be no surprise to see both of these lads make their league debuts before the season is over.
