Barcelona starlet Ilias Akhomach to snub Sevilla and AC Milan for Leeds United due to Premier League financial pull

Barcelona starlet Ilias Akhomach will reportedly snub Sevilla and AC Milan for Leeds United due to the Premier League financial pull.

According to Super Deportes [20 April], everything appears to be on track with the Whites winning the race due to the "economic power" of the English top flight.

Barcelona have financial problems of their own and despite offering a new deal to the 19-year-old, the Spaniard has his heart set on a move to Elland Road.

Fantastic

This shows the importance of being in the Premier League and why Leeds must do everything they can to avoid going down.

Unlike last summer, they do not have any players on the cusp of leaving and the squad will only be stronger next summer, perhaps under a new manager.

If they bring in someone known for building teams and playing expansive football, unlike Javi Gracia, the sky can be the limit.

The San Francisco 49ers are committed to taking this club to the next level and signing players from Barcelona is a clear sign of them heading there.

Akhomach may not be an immediate starter but it will be surprising if he's not around the first-team picture from his first few months at the club.

He does have senior appearances for a giant like Barcelona so there's certainly something to him that makes him an appealing option.

Sigining him ahead of Milan and Sevilla - two clubs that have multiple European honours to their name - shows just how big a deal this is.

In other Leeds United news, a Whites player has a potential offer on the table and could seal his permanent Elland Road exit this summer.
