'Amazing' - Meslier blown away by one 'Unbelievable' aspect in Leeds defeat at Arsenal
Leeds United received so many plaudits for their display against Arsenal, as Bielsa ball was watched by 6.15 million people on Monday.
The Whites dominated large periods of the game against the Premier League giants despite making a number of changes to their side - including debuts for Illan Meslier and Robbie Gotts.
Meslier particularly impressed in North London, with his distribution catching the eye as he played a great role in helping Leeds dominate possession at points of the clash.
Meslier recently commented on the experience, claiming that the fans are like no other that he has seen before.
"They're unbelievable!" he told the official club website.
"They're amazing! I received a lot of messages on social media after the game and I can't thank them enough for the support."
There is no surprise that the youngster was blown away, given that the Emirates Stadium is much different to where he has been playing regularly for the under-23s this season.
We were at the game, and everyone was left saying the same thing during and after the defeat. Many believed that the young stopper will be the perfect replacement for Kiko Casilla should he eventually get banned.
The Spaniard is yet to hear when his hearing will be from the FA, meaning that it could well drag on past January meaning that Meslier may have to wait for his chance in the Championship.
Either way, Leeds are in good hands given that they will either have Meslier or a Champions League winner to call upon in the second half of the season.
