Leo Scienza has been mooted as a potential target for Leeds United, and any concerns over his ability to play in the Premier League have been answered.

Southampton proved that the magic of the FA Cup is very much still alive, as they knocked out Arsenal in a 2-1 win in the quarter finals on Saturday.

The Saints are now set for Wembley, with Brazilian Scienza proving himself to be a handful against the Gunners.

The 27-year-old made life extremely difficult for former Leeds loanee Ben White, who could not deal with the pace and dribbling of the winger.

In 71 minutes, Scienza managed to draw five fouls for the Championship club, with the Arsenal defender committing four of those offences.

Leeds have been backed to target Scienza ahead of the summer window, and if the Whites are still a Premier League side, then the Brazilian has shown he is ready for that level.

Leeds may have to pay over double the value of Scienza to bring him to Elland Road next season.

According to Transfermarkt, the winger’s market value is set at £8.7million.

However, reports via the Daily Echo suggest that Southampton would be looking for closer to £20m to let the winger leave.

Scienza only arrived at St Mary’s in 2025 and currently holds a deal lasting until 2029.

Additionally, with the South Coast outfit in the battle for the Championship play-offs, promotion could thwart any advances from Leeds.

While Scienza proved he is ready for the step up to the English top flight, the Whites could have it all to do to ensure he plays his football in LS11 next season.
