Leeds United to go all out for Harry Wilson transfer despite Wales heartbreak

Leeds United should make Fulham forward Harry Wilson their priority target in the upcoming transfer window.

The Wales international arguably gave the Whites another reason to pursue him in the summer with an exceptional display against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-final of the World Cup play-offs.

Despite suffering heartbreak as Craig Bellamy’s team lost on penalties, the 29-year-old winger certainly made an impressive showing over the 120 minutes.

While Daniel James was the one who got on the scoresheet after an exceptional strike, Wilson was arguably Y Dreigiau’s standout performer.

If the West Yorkshire outfit do stay in the Premier League, 49ers Enterprises must back Farke and could potentially go all out to sign the Fulham attacker, who has scored 10 league goals this season.

Harry Wilson to get Leeds United fans off their feet

Leeds wanted Wilson last summer, but the forward ended up staying at Fulham.

Now the winger is thriving at Craven Cottage, but the Whites can sign him as a free agent at the end of the season.

Wilson’s record for Wales vs Bosnia and Herzegovina

Against Bosnia and Herzegovina, the attacker was definitely the best player on the pitch, taking seven shots, with one on target, four blocked and one hitting the woodwork, as per Sofascore.

Wilson completed two of his three dribbles on the evening, being a constant threat to the opposition, completed one key pass and had 79 per cent passing accuracy.

The forward’s distribution was on point, with 100 per cent long-ball accuracy and four of his nine crosses were successful.

Apart from the winger’s attacking contribution, he also won seven of his 10 ground duels and three of his six aerial duels.

Daniel Farke may need to have tough conversation with Elland Road favourite

Wilfried Gnonto has been a bit-part player at Leeds this season and his exit feels inevitable if Farke adds quality to his attack in the summer.

The Italian youngster played a key role for the Whites last season but has seen his influence diminish considerably in recent months.

Wilson’s arrival would surely mean the end of Gnonto’s career at the West Yorkshire outfit, with minutes already hard to come by.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Peacocks, with Premier League survival the main goal right now.
