Leeds United potential summer departures: Wilfried Gnonto and 17-app star
Leeds United will be expected to move on a handful of players this summer.
Fans will eagerly be waiting to see the calibre of player that Leeds can attract to Elland Road this summer, though to make way for those arrivals, exits will need to be sanctioned.
Several players have already been mooted for exits in the coming months, some of whom have failed to impress in the Premier League, while others have impressed enough to the point that they have top-flight interest.
Daniel Farke will want to keep the spine of his team together in order for them to progress next season.
However, that may not be possible as MOT Leeds News looks at those expected to move on this summer.

Joel Piroe – 99% likelihood
Given the lack of gametime he has had this season, and the fact that Leeds are almost certain to sign another striker this summer, Joel Piroe’s days at Elland Road are numbered.
Despite his 26-goal involvements last season, he has failed to showcase any of that quality since promotion, and with just one year left on his deal, Leeds need to cash in.

Several Championship clubs have already been mooted with an interest in the Suriname international, with Middlesbrough among the most likely suitors.
It’s almost guaranteed that we have seen the last of him in a Leeds shirt.
Wilfried Gnonto – 90% likelihood
Wilfried Gnonto was immense in the Championship, and yet the Italian has barely been afforded a run in the team this season.
He’s started just four Premier League games for the Whites, managing just one assist.

Saudi clubs had shown an interest in Gnonto over the last 12 months, but whether that interest remains is yet to be seen.
Nonetheless, this summer seems like the perfect time to cash in on a player who looks set to have little to no involvement, making his exit among the most likely.
Sebastian Bornauw – 90% likelihood
Sebastian Bornauw was signed as defensive depth last summer, and having made 17 appearances across all competitions, he has fulfilled that role.
However, Koln remain interested in the Belgian, having failed in an attempt to sign him in January, with a loan deal on the cards.

It’s unknown what the Whites’ stance would be on a loan exit for the defender, given that he still has three years left on his deal.
An exit for him may hinge on another defensive arrival.
Ao Tanaka – 40% likelihood
Like Gnonto, Ao Tanaka was forced to spend a lot of the season on the bench, but injuries saw him return to the starting lineup.
And since then, the Japan international has thrived, just months after he was linked with an exit from Elland Road.

He made 14 starts for the Whites in the Premier League, with a total of 28 appearances, showcasing the importance he had towards the latter stage of the campaign.
An exit can’t be ruled out entirely, though this one seems less likely to happen.
Pascal Struijk – 30% likelihood
Leeds will almost certainly look to improve the quality of their defence, especially if Farke were to stick with the back five formation that brought most of their success.
However, if they do, Pascal Struijk is the most likely to be replaced, given the fact that the Dutchman has been exposed several times.

He has just one year left on his contract with Leeds United come the end of June, leaving the Whites with very few opportunities beyond this summer to get a decent fee for his exit.
As of right now, it still seems more likely that he will stay at Elland Road, but his future is one to keep an eye on.
