Leeds United may have to look elsewhere as £35m Gabriel Sara price tag emerges
Leeds United may be priced out of a summer move for Gabriel Sara, with Galatasaray setting their demands at £35million.
The Whites want to sign a new attacking midfielder this summer, with question marks over Brenden Aaronson.
Daniel Farke added Facundo Buonanotte to that area in January, but the loanee has yet to impress in LSS1, with a return to Brighton expected.
Leeds have been linked with Sara, who has been in fine form for Galatasaray since moving from Norwich City in 2024.
However, according to Turkish outlet Takvim, Leeds may have to spend £35m on Sara, which the 49ers are almost certainly not going to cough up.

Should Leeds spend £35m on Gabriel Sara?
Leeds have held talks with Sara in the past, as the Brazilian previously knew how to stand out in England with Norwich.
The playmaker has taken his game to another level since leaving the Canaries, and is attracting interest from Leeds and other Premier League clubs, namely Aston Villa.

The 26-year-old has shown that he has the ability to play in the Premier League, and his age also proves that he’s still got room to improve.
The 49ers almost signed Jorgen Strand Larsen for around £35m in January, so they clearly have the funds to pull this move off.
It feels like a proper number 10 could be the final piece to Farke’s puzzle, but the 49ers probably won’t have the guts to spend such money on a player who has never been tested in England’s top flight.
Sara could help Leeds create plenty more chances in the final third, and would most likely be open to joining the Whites, but Paraag Marathe and Co. may be the problem.
This summer will be true test of 49ers
The 49ers have obvious obstacles to overcome in the summer transfer window, with the World Cup cuasing distruption, as well as finacial restictions.
Farke will be keen to clear out some of the club’s deadwood in order to request replacements off the board, but how money is spent will prove the truth.
The cursed second-season syndrome is true for newly promoted sides, and it feels as if Leeds remain in the top flight next campaign, they could stay put for years to come.
But this only happens through ambition and taking educated risks. In the case of Sara, £35m could be nothing for the ceiling that he could help the Whites hit at Elland Road.
