Leeds United can afford to give their fringe players like Lucas Perri more minutes in the final Premier League games of the season.

The Whites beat Burnley 3-1 at Elland Road on 1 May, taking another giant step towards avoiding relegation to the Championship.

Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United now seem to be favourites to finish 18th in the table after 35 matches.

Spurs are up next for the West Yorkshire outfit, and a win in North London could potentially seal safety for them, which may lead to some interesting starting lineups for the last two fixtures.

Daniel Farke doesn’t seem to trust Perri, but the Brazilian goalkeeper could potentially be given a chance to redeem himself before the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

Perri was signed with the view of improving the goalkeeping department after Illan Meslier became unwanted at Leeds last season.

The former Olympique Lyon star was the number one at the start of the campaign, but Farke quickly lost faith in him.

Darlow has done well starting in between the sticks and has made his contribution to help the Whites maintain their English top-flight status.

Perri will certainly hope the West Yorkshire outfit confirm safety at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the German manager subsequently gives him an opportunity to prove himself.
