Leeds United have a decision to make over the future of Joe Gelhardt moving into the summer.

The 23-year-old has long been a prospect, but things have never quite clicked for the versatile forward at Elland Road.

Even in the Whites’ recent years in the Championship, the Englishman failed to truly make an impact under Daniel Farke.

That has prompted a series of loan moves to Hull City, where he has certainly proven what he can do in the second tier.

That has certainly raised the eyebrows of many interested parties, but for now, he remains a Leeds United player moving into the summer.

The 23-year-old is under contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2027, having penned a contract extension in August 2022.

He is reported to be on a weekly salary of around £15,000, equating to an annual salary in the region of £780,000 in Yorkshire.

Gelhardt could soon depart Leeds and land that sort of fee elsewhere as his future remains up in the air.

There can’t be any surprise that the Englishman is attracting eyes from across England and beyond ahead of the summer window.
