Leeds United: Jack Harrison reacts as Marcelo Bielsa evokes memories of old at Wembley
Leeds United winger Jack Harrison certainly has fond memories of Marcelo Bielsa if his social media activity is anything to go by.
Harrison spent three seasons playing under Bielsa at Elland Road, playing his part in promotion to the Premier League and then the ninth-placed finish in 2021-22.
While Harrison’s stock has since fallen, with the attacker now out on loan once again at Fiorentina, Bielsa will always remain a Leeds legend.
Bielsa is now manager of Uruguay, whom he guided to a 1-1 draw against England in Friday’s friendly at Wembley.
And exit-linked Leeds ace Harrison reacted on social media on Friday to a post of Bielsa striking a familiar pose.

Marcelo Bielsa strikes familiar pose at Wembley
Leeds fans in attendance at Wembley serenaded Bielsa, with many there to show their support to the Argentinian rather than the Three Lions themselves.
Bielsa is rightly regarded as one of the most iconic managers in Leeds’ proud history due to what he achieved in a relatively short space of time.
| Bielsa’s stats at Leeds United | All competitions |

It was not just the results that won over Leeds fans, though, but also his general antics.
That includes regularly sitting on a plastic bucket pitch side, or anything else he could get his hands on such as a drinks carrier.
Leeds fans would have had a familiar feeling, then, when Bielsa sat on a drinks box pitchside at Wembley on Friday.
BBC Sport shared the image on Instagram, with Harrison among those to ‘like’ it.

Bielsa had plenty to be happy about come full-time – even if his face did not show it – as Federico Valverde scored a 94th-minute penalty to snatch a 1-1 draw.
What was Harrison’s record under Bielsa at Leeds?
Harrison enjoyed the best football of his career playing under Bielsa – and he’s not the only one who can say that.
The 29-year-old played 107 times under Bielsa – one seasons in the Championship and two in the Premier League – scoring 22 goals and assisting 17.
Nobody will forget Harrison’s contribution in 2020-21 when registering a combined 16 direct goal involvements in the top flight.

The following year’s tally of nine – eight goals and one assist – was also impressive as Leeds went down, leading to Everton pouncing.
Harrison’s career has dropped off massively, but he will at least be fondly remembered for those impressive years of service.
