Leeds United are closely monitoring Royal Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

According to DZfoot on 23 April, while Olympique Marseille have their eyes on the Algeria international, interest from the Whites could drive up his price.

The news outlet reports that the 23-year-old is currently valued at around £6.9million, but that figure could rise amid competition to sign him.

Titraoui has emerged as a target at Elland Road and it looks like the talented star has his sights set on a move to the Premier League in the near future.

Daniel Farke has given 49ers Enterprises every reason to back him financially in the summer after almost guaranteeing English top-flight survival, and fans in LS11 are expecting big things from the hierarchy in the coming months.

Leeds have invested in the likes of Ao Tanaka, Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff in recent seasons, highlighting their preference for players who can impose themselves in games.

Farke likes his team to press on the front foot and Titraoui seems like the perfect player to do that role at Elland Road.

The Algerian midfielder has scored four league goals this season, recording 1.5 shots per game, and has created three big chances, as per Sofascore.

Titraoui has also contributed to his team’s defensive solidity, averaging 1.3 interceptions, 1.8 tackles and 5.8 ball recoveries per game.

Daniel Farke may need midfield replacement at Elland Road

Tanaka’s prospects at Leeds have diminished since their promotion to the Premier League, and now that it looks like they’ll survive the drop, the Japan international could potentially look for a way out.

Farke has been reluctant to rely on the former Fortuna Dusseldorf star, with Stach and Ethan Ampadu his preferred duo in the middle of the park.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Tanaka look for pastures new in the summer and that will certainly open the door for someone like Titraoui to come in as a replacement.

Some exciting times are ahead in LS11, with Premier League safety and the FA Cup semi-final on the horizon, but the mood could shift if Paraag Marathe and Co don’t get recruitment right in the summer.
