Largie Ramazani future comes clear at Leeds as Jens Petter Hauge deal lined up

Largie Ramazani looks destined to leave Leeds United permanently this summer.

Plenty has been made of Daniel Farke’s treatment of Ramazani over the last 12 months, with the Belgian winger forced out on loan after it was made clear that he had no place in Leeds’ Premier League squad.

The winger joined Valencia on loan for the season, where he has since scored four goals and registered one assist in just 539 minutes of LaLiga football.

Ramazani has again been linked with a permanent exit from Elland Road in recent weeks, and the latest update could push him out.

Jens Petter Hauge eyed by Leeds for summer transfer

Bodo/Glimt have taken the Champions League by storm this season, and with five wins in a row in the competition, several of their stars are garnering interest.

Jens Petter Hauge is up there among the most attractive prospects at the Norwegian club, having scored six goals and registered four assists in the Champions League this season.

That has attracted the attention of Leeds, who have shown an interest in signing Petter Hauge in the summer transfer window, alongside his teammate, Kaspar Hogh.

But with Ramazani already out of favour at Elland Road, his arrival would only push the Belgian even further down the pecking order.

Should that be the case, a permanent exit for the winger would feel nailed on, with Valencia his most likely destination.

Would Petter Hauge be an upgrade on Ramazani?

The Norwegian has had two fantastic campaigns for Bodo/Glimt, but it’s important to note the gulf in quality between the football there and the Premier League.

With that said, to have hit double figures for goals and assists last season, and being well on course to do the same this season, it showcases that he certainly has something about him.

Leeds should take optimism from the fact that several of his better performances this season have been against Europe’s elites, with Petter Hauge having scored against Inter twice this season, as well as against Man City.

On the face of it, it seems as though he would be a better fit for Leeds, but it remains to be seen how far the Whites are willing to push for a deal.
