Jordan James has been linked with a move to Leeds United.

Adding cover for Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be a priority for Leeds, as will improving on their goalkeeping options, though Daniel Farke will still have an eye out to improve elsewhere.

The Whites are going to need more depth across the board if they are to progress from the previous campaign, especially in midfield.

James is the latest star to be linked with a move to Elland Road after his impressive campaign with Leicester City.

And if Leeds were to make a move for James, Farke would get access to something that he hasn’t had in the Premier League yet.

What would Jordan James bring to Leeds?

The one thing that Leeds have lacked this season has been a replacement for Anton Stach when the German has not been fit.

Ao Tanaka has, in theory, been his stand-in, and while he has showcased his quality, it is still a clear drop from the former Bundesliga star.

James would rectify that, and his numbers from the just-passed Championship season only backed up that argument.

The Wales international managed 15 goal involvements from midfield and created 55 chances.

That placed him among the top five per cent of Championship midfielders, showcasing the influence he can have in the final third.

How much could James cost?

As per Transfermarkt, the 21-year-old has a £10.3million valuation, which in itself is more than affordable for a club like Leeds.

Leicester were believed to have an option to buy for a fee in the region of £4m, which showcases the fact that Leeds may be able to lower that valuation.

Any deal worth less than his value would represent good business for the Whites, both short-term and long-term, given his potential and current ability.
