Joe Rodon with point to prove as Leeds United eye Santiago Bueno transfer
Joe Rodon may find his starting role at Leeds United under threat this summer.
First things first, Rodon has barely put a foot wrong for the Whites this season, and the Wales international certainly deserves his plaudits.
But that is not to say that Leeds can’t upgrade on him, though the same can be said for every player who has had a part to play this season.
The pressure of Premier League football often forces clubs to seize the opportunity when it emerges, and for the Whites, there will be several of them this summer.
Santiago Bueno has been linked with a move to Elland Road, and that may have some effects on the future of Rodon.

Leeds eye Santiago Bueno transfer
Wolves are dead and buried, and they will be expecting plenty of interest in certain players, despite the poor campaign that they have had.
Bueno is one of them, having made 25 appearances for them in the Premier League this season, with Leeds said to be interested.
| Premier League | Bueno |
| Appearances | 25 |
| Goals | 2 |
| Duels won | 104 |
| Tackles | 49 |
| Successful passes | 848 |
He isn’t an upgrade, so to speak, on Rodon, but he would certainly be someone who could rival him for a starting role at Elland Road, much more so than James Justin.

Bueno would be a solid depth option for the Whites, and if a deal were to happen, it would certainly spur Rodon on to produce the goods even more often.
Which other area must Leeds prioritise for depth?
Adding cover for Gabriel Gudmundsson and Jayden Bogle is needed, but Leeds simply have to improve their depth going forward.
When Dominic Calvert-Lewin isn’t scoring, which he has struggled to do as of late, they have no other options that spark much optimism to get a goal.
That will be a key priority for Leeds in the summer, with plenty of recruitment needed if they do stay in the Premier League.
