Leeds United seem to be building an interesting relationship with Fiorentina when it comes to transfers.

Jack Harrison joined La Viola on loan from the Whites in January, with the deal including an option to make the move permanent.

Wilfried Gnonto was on Fiorentina’s radar ahead of January, with the Italian winger’s lack of game time an attractive prospect for the Serie A club to exploit.

Daniel Farke will hope 49ers Enterprises back him in the summer if he keeps the West Yorkshire outfit in the Premier League, and the team from Florence could potentially benefit from it.

Wilfried Gnonto future uncertain at Leeds United

TEAMtalk reports on 14 March that Gnonto’s future at Leeds is uncertain.

It’s been claimed that Farke still values the 22-year-old and a decision over his potential exit from Elland Road hasn’t been made yet.

The winger has made 16 appearances in the Premier League this season, starting just four times, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him look for an exit in the coming months.

Fiorentina are fighting to avoid relegation from Serie A and if they manage to do so, they will surely have another look at the Italian forward.

Paolo Vanoli’s team are currently 17th in the league table, a point ahead of 18th-place Cremonese and it will be interesting to see how their situation unfolds.

Farke must be backed with quality signings if he keeps the West Yorkshire outfit in the English top flight and that could push out players who are surplus to requirements in LS11.

Who else could Fiorentina sign from Elland Road?

Harrison is looking to make a mark in Italy in hopes of completing a permanent move away from Leeds.

Fiorentina also had Jaka Bijol on their radar in the winter transfer window, with the Slovenian international possessing Serie A experience.

The former Udinese centre-back has been in and out of the starting lineup this season and he may look to return to Italy soon.

Everything undoubtedly depends on whether the West Yorkshire outfit and the Florence club can avoid relegation in the current campaign, and if they do, then the developments will be worth watching closely.
