Daniel Farke says his Leeds mission is complete: ‘My job is done’
Daniel Farke will not allow Leeds United to stand still in the transfer window now that their Premier League status is confirmed.
Speaking at his press conference on Friday, the German remained bullish in his comments as he outlined the next step for the Whites.
Leeds’ place in the top flight was secured without them having to kick a ball last Sunday, as West Ham fell to defeat against Arsenal.
Farke’s side showed no sign of resting on their laurels either, fighting back to earn a point against Tottenham.
Now, the next step is to continue building at Elland Road, with the West Yorkshire outfit keen to avoid a repeat of their last stint in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke to outline Leeds goals ahead of summer
Ahead of the clash with Brighton, Farke spoke with a candour not really seen from him before.
And after his side continued to grow throughout the campaign, it is clear that he is not ready to stop there just yet.

Speaking to the press, the Leeds boss said: “When I signed the contract three years ago, we spoke about the goal and what we want to achieve. I have to say, my mission is fulfilled and my job is done.”
Naturally, the comment did raise speculation regarding his future, particularly as he went on to thank the club for what they have done since his arrival.
But, this would be clarified, as he said: “It comes to an end because the project has been fulfilled. You have to set new goals.
“I am ambitious. We have spoken about our goals and how we want to achieve it. I want something to play for. I am not the right fit if it’s about maintaining the status quo. I have to be convinced of the project.”
It has been a fantastic season at Elland Road, but now, it seems that Farke is ever so keen to see the club avoid making the same mistakes as three years ago.
Leeds have to avoid 2023 errors as they progress in Premier League
This paid dividends, with personnel arriving who were capable of making an instant impact on the team.
The next step, though, is to avoid repeating the mistakes of their previous spell in the top flight – something Farke is evidently well aware of.

After the sensational years under Marcelo Bielsa, the Whites began to stagnate, and the sharp downturn in performances reflected that before their eventual relegation in 2023.
Now, Farke has an immense core of players, but Leeds must build on this – not only to appease their manager, but to lay the foundations for a side capable of competing higher up the table.
Given how tight the battle for Europe has been this season, there are places up for grabs in the coming years.
With the right project and recruitment, the West Yorkshire outfit could well be among those challengers if they play their cards right.
