Brenden Aaronson: Leeds United days are numbered as Lois Openda transfer takes twist
Brenden Aaronson may find himself cast aside at Leeds United if they move for Lois Openda.
Aaronson has always sparked debate at Leeds, with Daniel Farke having constantly picked him despite the American often failing to impress.
It was the case in the Championship and has again been the same in the Premier League.
However, the Whites are certain to upgrade their attacking options this summer, with several stars already linked with a move to Elland Road.
Leeds remain keen on a deal for Openda, and it would only mean bad news for Aaronson if that were to come to fruition.

Lois Openda transfer takes fresh twist
Openda looks destined for an exit from Juventus this summer, despite his move to Turin only likely to be made permanent then.
It was initially believed that they would look to cut their losses on the Belgian, but instead, an opportunity for Leeds to pursue a loan deal for Openda may have emerged.
| Serie A | Openda |

But regardless of the nature of the deal, Openda would not be moving to Elland Road to be a backup option, and given the form demonstrated by Noah Okafor as of late, he is unlikely to be the one replaced.

If Farke were to keep the same style of play next season, it would have to be Aaronson who makes way for the Belgian.
Leeds must take caution with move for Openda
Several Premier League sides have suffered the consequences of being roped into signing a loanee permanently, and Leeds need to avoid the same scenario.
Openda, if he were to make the move, may prove to be an excellent addition that they want to keep around.
However, that should be a decision made next summer, as opposed to an obligation, which would do nothing but restrict Leeds in the future.
