Archie Gray return to Leeds United not ruled out as buy-back clause claim dismissed
Archie Gray won’t be returning to Leeds United anytime soon from Tottenham Hotspur.
While Adam Pope doesn’t see the midfielder coming back to Elland Road in the foreseeable future, he wouldn’t rule the idea out completely.
The BBC journalist also isn’t aware of the Whites including a buy-back clause when they sold the 20-year-old to Spurs for around £40million.
Gray developed at Thorp Arch before becoming a key player for the West Yorkshire outfit’s first team squad and subsequently moving to North London.

Leeds United will hope for Tottenham scenario to come true
Tottenham are just one point above the relegation zone going into the final seven games of the Premier League campaign.
As things stand, the Whites have a four-point advantage over 18th-place West Ham United and top-flight survival is in their hands.
On current form, with Spurs failing to win any league game in 2026, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them playing Championship football next season as they hurtle towards the drop zone.
Tottenham’s relegation could potentially come with an added bonus for the West Yorkshire outfit, who may be able to convince Gray on a return to Elland Road.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the North London club struggle to keep hold of their best players if they go down and the Peacocks should take advantage.
Writing in BBC Sport on 27 March, Pope said, “Never say never, but I don’t see Archie returning to the club any time soon, and I am not aware of any buy-back clause.”
Elland Road faithful to embrace return of mercurial talent under Daniel Farke
Crysencio Summerville will surely have plenty of suitors in the Premier League if West Ham are relegated this season.
The Dutch forward has been a standout player for the Hammers in recent months, but that may not be enough to help Nuno Espirito Santo’s team survive.

Summerville thrived under Farke, and while his departure wasn’t well received by some fans, he will surely be embraced on any possible transfer return to Elland Road.
There could potentially be plenty of talented players available to sign if Tottenham, West Ham or Nottingham Forest go down, and the Peacocks should make moves for them.
