Dominic Calvert-Lewin ended the campaign with 15 goals, which is the second time in his career he has hit that exact tally.

The last time was back in the 2019-20 campaign, where he followed it with a 21-goal season immediately after.

It’s clear that he is a striker who thrives off confidence, and his confidence will be high ahead of the new campaign, despite missing out on the England squad.

Leeds need more attacking quality to take the weight off his shoulders, but he still has plenty to offer at Elland Road.

Since Daniel Farke switched to a back five, Leeds have been solid defensively.

And Jaka Bijol has been a crucial component of that success since arriving from Udinese last summer.

Liverpool were loosely linked with a move for him back at the start of the year, and given his profile, that will have been no surprise.

He’s the one defender that Leeds simply cannot afford to lose, and instead, they need to build the rest of the backline around him.
