49ers may have £6m cash boost headed their way in time for Leeds United’s summer Femi Azeez heist
Leeds United have had to endure financial constraints in the winter market, but may not be held back in their attempts to sign Millwall attacker Femi Azeez.
The Millwall forward has this week been linked with a move to Elland Road, as the Whites plan for scenarios in both the Premier League and Championship.
The winger has drawn interest from several top-flight clubs and is destined to play in the Premier League soon, but won’t come for cheap.
Leeds have multiple targets already on their transfer shortlist for the summer, but Azeez could be one of the more realistic options for the 49ers to pursue.

Jack Harrison sale could half payment for Femi Azeez
Leeds could sign Azeez this summer, and the price at which he goes for may heavily depend on where Millwall find themselves next season.
The Lions are currently one point off second place in the Championship with nine games left to play, as promotion would work against Leeds in their wish to steal him from the Den this summer.
However, regardless of where Millwall end up, the Whites are set to benefit from the success of Jack Harrison, who is currently on loan with Fiorentina.
- Harrison is on loan in Italy until the end of the season
- He already has more attacking output than he did with Leeds in the first half of the season
Fiorentina have the option to buy the Leeds loanee for £6million this summer, and reports from Italy suggest that it could still be taken up.
Harrison has played 171 minutes in Fiorentina’s last two league games, and should he help the side stay in Serie A, they may have the money to trigger his permanent stay.

The money could play a pivotal role in the 49ers’ chase for Azeez, who could be on offer for a lot less, should Millwall remain in the Championship.
The Lions are in no position to turn down big offers from Premier League clubs, and £12m could be a realistic bid for the 24-year-old.
What Azeez offers over Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James
It will be interesting to see what system Daniel Farke deploys next season if the Whites stay in the big time.
The Leeds boss has switched to a five-at-the-back formation in recent times, and has less of a need for out-and-out wingers.
However, the German head coach still seems keen on playing Dan James in wide spaces, more so than Wilfried Gnonto, as the pair could suffer from Azeez’s potential arrival.
Azeez has 14 goals and assists combined in just 26 league games under Alex Neil this season, and offers a clear goal-scoring threat that Leeds wingers do not.
The right-winger can play on either flank, and look just as dangerous, and would offer Farke something new in the final third.
