Leeds United transfer plans for new playmaker to leave Facundo Buonanotte embarrassed

Leeds United will look for a new attacking-midfielder for Daniel Farke in the upcoming transfer window.

According to LeedsLive, the Whites will target reinforcing the number 10 position as one of their priorities in the summer.

The West Yorkshire outfit got Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion in the winter transfer window, but the Argentina international has failed to take his opportunities.

Daniel Farke has barely given the 21-year-old any minutes since his arrival, essentially making his decision on the youngster after just a few weeks.

Buonanotte’s future lies away from Elland Road, but the midfielder will no doubt rue his missed opportunity at the Peacocks after failing to make a mark.

With the Whites looking for a new number 10 ahead of the summer, the midfielder will surely feel a bit embarrassed that he hasn’t done enough to convince Farke.

It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for the highly-rated prospect as he looks to kickstart his career after barely playing in the 2025-26 campaign.

Daniel Farke transfer ambitions may not be good news for Elland Road star

Farke will likely stay in charge of Leeds for next season after all but confirming Premier League safety and 49ers Enterprises should be looking to back him in the summer.

With plans to bring in a new number 10, Brenden Aaronson may be looking over his shoulder at Elland Road after playing a key role under the German manager to help survive the drop.
