Wilfried Gnonto: Leeds outcast with a point to prove to Daniel Farke vs West Ham
Wilfried Gnonto has every chance of being named in Leeds United‘s starting 11 when they face West Ham.
Minutes have been hard to come by for Gnonto in the Premier League this season, with his only two starts of the year for Leeds coming in the FA Cup.
The Italian has played just 380 minutes of league action for the Whites, which is actually among the lowest across the entire squad.
But with Leeds set to face West Ham in the FA Cup, Daniel Farke may rotate slightly, and it could afford a chance for Gnonto to showcase his worth.

West Ham clash is perfect chance for Wilfried Gnonto to prove Daniel Farke wrong
Gnonto’s omission from the starting lineups isnt anything new, with the Italian often having been forced to settle for a place on the bench even last season.
Even then, he was contributing with goals and assists regularly, while more often thann ot looking like Leeds’ most dangerous player.

For whatever reason, Farke has not trusted Gnonto in the top flight, and with all of his FA Cup appearances having come against lower league opposition, he hasn’t had the chance to prove the German wrong.
However, with West Ham in a very similar position to Leeds, Gnonto could force himself back into Farke’s thinking with a good performance against the Hammers, should he be named in the starting 11.
Leeds fans are well aware of what he has to offer, and it could certainly be of use ahead of the final seven games of the Premier League season.
Who could make way for Gnonto vs West Ham?
The most obvious choice would be Brenden Aaronson, who has once again been a favourite of Farke’s since the start of the season.
That is despite the fact he has offered nothing to the team in the final third, with his last goal involvement coming against Newcastle back at the start of January.
Gnonto is a much bigger threat going forward, and if Farke hands him that chance to prove it against the Irons, he will realise the erroer he has made for months.
