West Ham welcome Leeds United to the London Stadium for the final game of the Premier League season.

To be entering the final game of the season under no pressure to get a result is a testament to the campaign that Leeds have had.

Safety was confirmed weeks ago, with the Whites now just trying to have as strong a finish to the season as possible to use for monetum head of thew new campaign.

As for West Ham, they may still have a fighting chance of survival if Spurs fall to defeat against Chelsea on Tuesday, leaving them in need of a win.

However, Leeds still have an incentive for victory, this time in the form of finances.

Premier League prize money up for grabs

Leeds have no chance of Europe, nor do they have any chance of relegation, but they do still have the chance to pocket some extra funds ahead of the summer.

That is because the Premier League prize money is staggered based on final league position, and the difference is quite signficant.

Leeds cannot finish lower than 15th this season, and if they were to, they would receive £15.3million as a result.

However, if results go their way, they could finish as high as 10th, which would see them pocket £29.1m

It’s a difference of £13.8m depending on where they finish, which could come in handy over the course of the summer heading into the new campaign.

West Ham result vs Leeds predicted by supercomputer

Despite one team being at imminent risk of relegation and the other potentially in line for a top-half finish, it is actually the former who is most likely to win.

That is according to Opta, who have awarded a 38.7 per cent chance of victory to the Hammers, compared to Leeds’ 34.8 per cent.

In terms of the relegation battle, that still may not be enough to keep West Ham in the league, but it would see the Whites miss out on a significant amount of money.
