Noah Okafor has biggest Leeds United test vs Wolves as purple patch fears are real

Noah Okafor needs to prove that his class is permanent in Leeds United‘s game against Wolves this Saturday.

The Swiss superstar was the hero at Old Trafford last time out, grabbing a brace to silence the Whites’ hateful enemies, Manchester United.

The brace came after an assist against West Ham in the FA Cup quarter-final, which was partnered with an all-round terrific display.

Not only that, but his last four games before the international break saw him pick up three goal contributions.

However, this could be a purple patch for Okafor, who has shown signs of inconsistency for Leeds already.

Noah Okafor needs to shine vs Wolves

Okafor will surely be licking his lips at the prospect of playing bottom-of-the-league Wolves, especially considering his form.

Regardless of what he does from now until the end of the season, people will remember the display against Man United; however, he needs to keep this up for his own good.

The 25-year-old has the opportunity to make himself Leeds’ hero in the remaining Premier League games, and a big performance against Wolves will prove his long-term potential.

Okafor could be special in the future, perhaps even as good as Raphinha one day, but time will tell.

Again, the challenge for Okafor is to be the maverick once more, show what he’s about, and puff his chest out, even if Wolves set a devious plan up to stop him.

Daniel Farke will still be demanding even more from the forward, who will surely shine against a relegation-threatened Wolves this weekend.

How will Daniel Farke deploy Okafor vs Wolves?

It’s highly likely that the Whites will set up differently against Wolves than they did versus Man United.

Leeds sat back and soaked up pressure from the Red Devils, hitting them on the break with Okafor at the centre of everything good.

However, Rob Edwards will be looking to deploy a similar game plan at Elland Road, with Leeds most likely bound to have most of the ball.

Graham Smyth called Okafor “dynamic” earlier in the season, and though Leeds will aim to control the game, their Swiss forward may be key to a win for more than one reason.

It would be no surprise to see the attacker play in pockets across the front line, so he’s able to influence from different areas of the final third.
