Lucas Perri to look away after latest Karl Darlow heroics at Leeds United
Lucas Perri’s future at Leeds United is in doubt as Karl Darlow continues to shine in the Premier League.
The Whites spent £13.9million when they signed Perri from Lyon in the summer, but he has been underwhelming throughout the season.
Since arriving from France, the Brazilian has been exposed numerous times for his lapses in concentration, and Darlow replaced him as the first-choice goalkeeper in January.
However, the Wales international didn’t get off to the best start, and Daniel Farke had a real decision to make on who would start between the sticks.
Ultimately, Farke stuck with Darlow, and after keeping back-to-back clean sheets in the Premier League, it could spell trouble for Perri.

Karl Darlow’s recent performances doesn’t spell good news for Lucas Perri
It’s safe to say that Perri played during Leeds’ toughest spell in the campaign, which was at the start of the season.
However, he hasn’t exactly helped himself by failing to save any of the four penalties he has faced in the top flight.
The final straw for Farke came when the 28-year-old failed to stop Harvey Barnes’ 102nd-minute winner when Newcastle beat Leeds 4-3 in January.

Darlow also looked nervous when he first came into the team, with Arsenal exploiting his weakness from set-pieces.
However, the 35-year-old has now kept back-to-back clean sheets in the recent 0-0 draws to Crystal Palace and Brentford, and his save percentage of 65.5 per cent is much better than Perri’s.
It’s clear that the defence looks much more comfortable with him in goal, and he is now primed to start every remaining game in the top flight this campaign.

Although his contract runs out at the end of the season, Leeds may choose to extend his deal, which is the worst possible news for Perri.
Could Lucas Perri leave Leeds in the summer?
He arrived in LS11 with a big reputation from Lyon, but Perri may now look to move elsewhere in the summer.
However, the Whites’ current battle with PSR could mean that he has to stay and fight for his place.
According to Leeds Live, there is “no guarantee” that the board will look to bring in a new goalkeeper any time soon, as Farke may have to stay patient with what he currently has.

They also confirmed that the Whites will not sell Perri, as his sale would most likely make for a loss on the PSR readings, which are already tight as it is.
That could spark a reaction from the Brazilian, who clearly has the ability to start for Leeds in the Premier League.
But if he fails to apply himself in the right way, then Farke will be stuck with a big problem, and the last thing he wants is to have another situation similar to Illan Meslier’s.
