Lucas Perri plays final Leeds United game after FA Cup heartbreak vs Chelsea
Lucas Perri started for Leeds United under the Wembley arch against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday.
Daniel Farke has opted to rely on the Brazilian goalkeeper in the cup competitions despite Karl Darlow taking the number one spot in the Premier League.
The former Olympique Lyon shot-stopper made 16 league appearances before the German manager decided he wasn’t good enough to help the Whites survive relegation.
With the West Yorkshire outfit out of every other domestic competition, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Perri not play another game for them in the current campaign, and it may have been his final appearance for the club.
Enzo Fernandez’s first-half strike at Wembley was enough to knock the Peacocks out of the competition and end their hopes of making the final since last lifting the title in 1972.

Daniel Farke has Lucas Perri replacement on Elland Road agenda
Leeds have been linked with James Trafford in recent months, with 49ers Enterprises looking to bolster the goalkeeping department at Elland Road.
It looks like Paraag Marathe and Co recognise that the Whites must look to add quality to their ranks in the summer if they wish to avoid another relegation scramble.

With Perri not living up to expectations and Darlow not getting any younger, it makes sense for the West Yorkshire outfit to be in the race for the Manchester City shot-stopper’s signature.
If the Peacocks end up signing a new number one, that would certainly mean the end of the Brazilian star’s time in LS11 as he surely wouldn’t want to be second or even third choice in the pecking order.
Leeds United can’t lose focus after loss vs Chelsea
Leeds’ main aim this season was to avoid relegation from the Premier League and that goal still remains.
While it has undoubtedly been exciting for fans to reach the latter stages of the FA Cup, the Whites’ main aim for this season was always to keep their top-flight status.

With West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur picking up valuable points towards the bottom of the table, the West Yorkshire outfit still have work to do to avoid going down to the Championship.
While 40 points would have surely guaranteed survival in previous seasons, the relegation battle has been much more fierce this time around.
