Leeds United’s Harry Gray risks wrath of 49ers’ with latest social media activity

Leeds United youngster Harry Gray will surely have upset the 49ers Enterprises with his latest post on social media.

The 17-year-old is one of the most promising talents at Elland Road, and is set to return after his loan spell at Rotherham United.

The Whites gem had a solid stint in League One, notching three goals and one assist in 20 matches with the Millers, before injuries got in the way.

However, he may find himself in hot water with the club’s ownership when does step back through the door in LS11.

Leeds owners also have a stake in Rangers, and Gray has seemingly aligned with their arch-rivals, Celtic.

What did Leeds talent Gray do on social media?

Gray is a name that is synonymous with Leeds, and Harry is in line to be the latest one to represent the club.

However, he has risked the wrath of the 49ers, with his Instagram story from 13 May, which seemed to celebrate the Hoops’ dramatic win against Motherwell.

Will the 49ers punish Gray?

The 49ers are unlikely to punish Gray for his social media antics, even if they are supporting a rival of another club that they own.

They will not want to turn one of their players, especially one with such a connection to their club, against them; that would not be a wise move, as it risks fan backlash.

However, Gray should know better and should not be posting that on his account, given who employs him, and their stake in the Bhoys’ Glasgow rivals.

It is best that it is all just swept beneath the carpet, rather than any disciplinary actions taken, but it does not reflect well on the Peacocks talent.

Given the chaos that is going on with the Scottish club right now, distractions like this are the last thing that the 49ers need, as they face a battle to get supporters back on board after a grim end to the season.

Luckily, things are going very well at Leeds, with Daniel Farke‘s side confirming their Premier League status for another season.
