Leeds United to take advantage of chaotic Crystal Palace scenes after Alan Shearer prediction

Alan Shearer believes Leeds United will get a draw against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Whites will travel to Selhurst Park on 15 March as the visitors look to get back to winning ways in the English top flight after back-to-back losses to Manchester City and Sunderland.

As things stand, the West Yorkshire outfit are just three points ahead of 18th-place West Ham United and are firmly in a relegation battle.

Daniel Farke must beat Palace to avoid getting dragged further down the table and the Peacocks could potentially take advantage of the situation at the South London club.

Daniel Farke to exploit Crystal Palace uncertainty vs Leeds United

Palace know Oliver Glasner will be leaving at the end of the season, which seems to have affected their performances.

The Eagles have won three of their last Premier League games and they must be confident about avoiding relegation, sitting at 38 points.

Shearer has described the scenes at the South London club as chaotic this season, following high-profile exits that have led to a few outbursts from Glasner.

While a point away from home won’t be the worst thing for the Whites, they have more to lose in the game.

Palace are in a situation where their entire focus will now be on the Conference League, which may give the West Yorkshire outfit an opening to exploit.

Writing in the Metro on 13 March, Shearer said, “Leeds have been dragged into the relegation battle again after their last game against Sunderland, a poor result at home. Crystal Palace are up and down, and it seems to be a bit chaotic at their club. I’m going to go draw.”

Daniel Farke must go all-out with team selection at Selhurst Park

There’s no reason for Farke to take a cautious approach against Palace as Leeds are capable of beating them with the right setup.

What the German manager should do is play Brenden Aaronson and Ilia Gruev in the midfield, with just one striker up front.

Farke may have Dominic Calvert-Lewin back at Selhurst Park and it would make sense to partner him with Lukas Nmecha up front.

The West Yorkshire outfit must take the initiative against Glasner’s team, who have nothing much to play for in the Premier League.
