Leeds United: Stuart Dallas silly with Brenden Aaronson POTS shout, Dominic Calvert-Lewin clear favourite
Leeds United playmaker Brenden Aaronson has been named as a contender to be the player of the season at Elland Road.
Stuart Dallas believes the American midfielder is in contention for the accolade after his performances under Daniel Farke in the 2025-26 campaign.
The former Whites ace feels that if the USMNT star continues to perform well, he may receive recognition at the end of the season, which is a bit silly.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been influential at Elland Road, and if the West Yorkshire outfit avoid Premier League relegation, he should be the clear favourite for the award.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brenden Aaronson season by numbers at Leeds United
Calvert-Lewin is the joint leading English goalscorer in the Premier League this season alongside Brighton & Hove Albion’s Danny Welbeck.
As per Sofascore, the 29-year-old striker has an average rating of 6.66 in the English top flight this season, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist in 27 appearances.
The former Everton centre-forward has a goal conversion rate of 18 per cent, but his numbers could have been even better, having missed 14 big chances.
Aaronson has an average Sofascore rating of 6.75 in the Premier League, scoring four goals, providing three assists and creating eight big chances.
The 25-year-old midfielder has completed 80 per cent of his passes, completed 32 per cent of his dribbles and has won 41 per cent of his total duels.
Calvert-Lewin and Aaronson will both admit they haven’t been their best in recent weeks, but the American playmaker has arguably lacked the necessary impact since his brilliant performance in the 4-3 loss against Newcastle United in January.
Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast on 18 March, pointing to midfielder, Dallas said, “Contender for player of the season. If he keeps going the way he’s going, yeah.”
Why Dominic Calvert-Lewin deserves end-of-season gong
Last summer, Leeds were in desperate need of a proven Premier League goalscorer after winning promotion from the Championship, and Calvert-Lewin has provided that.
The striker joined the Whites on a free transfer and has certainly exceeded expectations this season, earning shouts for a call-up to the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Goals win matches in the end and if the centre-forward’s strikes can help the West Yorkshire outfit maintain their top-flight status, then he surely deserves to be the player of the season in LS11.
With eight games to go in the league, Calvert-Lewin could potentially be the game-changer Farke needs in the final stretch of the campaign.
