Leeds United stars react as Gabriel Gudmundsson posts three-word message

Leeds United star Gabriel Gudmundsson took to social media to downplay any injury concerns.

The Whites ace played 77 minutes of Sweden’s 3-1 win over Ukraine on 26 March, but came off with a knee issue.

However, he put a three-word message on Instagram on 28 March, which said “Ses på tisdag” which translates to see you on Tuesday.

Leeds boss Daniel Farke will be relieved, and several Elland Road players have reacted to the update from their Swedish teammate.

Why Leeds need Gudmundsson back

Farke will be buzzing that 22-cap international Gudmundsson has seemingly ruled out any long-lasting injury, because he is a crucial part of his team.

They felt his absence in the 0-0 draw with Brentford as he was banned for a red card that he picked up against Crystal Palace, lacking the threat that he brings down the left-hand side.

The LS11 side needs as many players to come back from international duty in full fitness as they are just four points above the relegation zone, and the upcoming fixtures do not favour them.

The Peacocks travel to Manchester United, who sit third in the top-flight, and West Ham could close the gap to one point, if they beat bottom dwellers Wolves, and put the Whites right back into danger.

If Gudmundsson is fit and raring to go, that will be a huge boost for the Yorkshire outfit, as his impact on the side is clear and he brings a different dynamic.

Farke will be hoping that he plays no part in his nation’s World Cup qualifying playoff final with Poland, but given the stakes, he will likely start.

The German will be watching nervously, if that is the case and his man plays from the off at the Friends Arena on 31 March.
