Leeds United predicted XI vs Brighton: Brenden Aaronson axed in two Daniel Farke changes

Leeds United are looking to finish the Premier League season strongly across the next two weeks, with Brighton first up.

Heading into their final home outing of the campaign, the Whites have been in fine form, with three wins and two draws across their last five.

During this run, Daniel Farke’s side have earned three points against each of Manchester United, Wolves and Burnley, while they battled hard to win a point late on away at both Bournemouth and Tottenham.

Leeds’ survival was confirmed without them having to kick a ball on Sunday, prior to the Spurs draw, with West Ham suffering a defeat against Arsenal.

Now, Farke’s side are aiming to send the Elland Road faithful home happy for one final time this term, as Europe-chasing Brighton make the trip to West Yorkshire.

Daniel Farke to offer Lukas Nmecha a chance in final home match

Leeds are in fine fettle, and have proven exactly why they are so capable at this level across recent weeks.

Playing scintillating football at times and being streetwise, the Whites have completely settled into the top flight after a difficult start.

Tottenham did take lead on Monday, with Mathys Tel scoring a wonderful goal from distance.

However, Leeds would fight back to earn a point – coming incredibly close to taking all three as Sean Longstaff rattled the bar in stoppage time.

Coming off the bench, Lukas Nmecha would put in a lively performance up top alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and could be rewarded with a start in the final home match of the campaign – a season in which he has netted seven times and provided three assists across just 1,344 minutes.

The German forward would replace Brenden Aaronson in the side, forming a front two with his fellow striker again.

Rounding off the second change, Farke could spring a surprise and field Gabriel Gudmundsson out on the left.

The Swede has been sidelined across the last two weeks, with James Justin deputising well.

With the Whites boss hopeful of a return to the side before the end of the season, the wideman is being continuously assessed, and could be thrown into the lineup at home for one final time this season.

Leeds reap rewards for savvy transfer business

It has been a fantastic year for Leeds, especially on home soil.

Since the opening weekend victory against Everton, Farke and his side have worked incredibly well to turn Elland Road into a fortress – working to Leeds’ advantage with results against Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and more.

Leeds recruited well last summer, bringing in battle-hardened players in the prime of their careers, and this has most certainly aided the success at Elland Road.

With eight wins at home this term, the Whites are looking for one final triumph as they face Brighton.
