Leeds United player ratings vs Burnley: Anton Stach sensational, Dominic Calvert-Lewin deadly
Leeds United have taken another step towards Premier League survival after beating Burnley 3-1 on Friday.
Mike Jackson took interim charge of the Clarets at Elland Road on 1 May, but Daniel Farke got the better of him.
The Whites went off to a magnificent start against the Lancashire club and Anton Stach subsequently scored the opener with a sensational strike in the eighth minute.
Noah Okafor added a second for the West Yorkshire outfit and Dominic Calvert-Lewin then got a much-deserved goal a few minutes later.
Loum Tchaouna’s strike gave the Elland Road faithful some pause, but in the end, the Frenchman’s strike was nothing but a consolation for the visitors.

Anton Stach monumental for Leeds United vs Burnley
Stach had an action-packed opening 45 minutes against Burnley, and apart from finding the back of the net, the midfielder was pivotal in constantly putting the visitors under pressure without the ball.
The Germany international has been an impact signing for the Whites this season and will certainly be one of the reasons if they survive the drop.
| Premier League Statistics | Calvert-Lewin |
| Appearances | 27 |

| Goals from outside the box | 4 |
In the second 45 minutes, Stach remained a steady presence for the West Yorkshire outfit in the middle of the park as Farke’s team controlled the tempo.
The 27-year-old also had a few niggles at Hannibal Mejbri, which gave the home support more reasons to cheer for him in the game.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin shows experience at Elland Road
Calvert-Lewin was the architect of Leeds’ second goal just after the break as he stole the ball and played a brilliant backheel pass in the build-up to Okafor’s strike.
The 29-year-old striker then got on the end of a loose ball after Martin Dubravka made a save from Ao Tanaka’s shot in the 56th minute.
Supporters at Elland Road made their voices heard as their hopes of avoiding relegation were all but guaranteed before the hour mark against the Clarets.
Calvert-Lewin has had a bit of a dry spell in recent weeks, but his purple patch midway through the campaign was certainly monumental.
