Leeds United move above AC Milan and other top clubs in latest global power rankings

Leeds United’s rise under Daniel Farke has become evidently clear after Opta’s latest global power rankings.

The Whites have been going from strength to strength with relegation prospects almost in their rear view.

Supporters were also provided with a historical cup run, making an FA Cup semi-final for the first time in 39 years.

While it was ultimately defeat at Wembley for Farke’s side, the journey to the final four provided fans with plenty of memories.

Now, Leeds’ successes have seemingly bumped the Elland Road outfit up the rankings when compared to every top club, with a few surprising sides below them.

Where are Leeds in the global power rankings?

According to Opta’s global power rankings, as of their latest update on 6 May, 2026, Leeds United are ranked as the 32nd best football club in the world as it stands.

It is quite the high position that the LS11 outfit have found themselves in, and they are one spot above six-time Champions League-winning outfit AC Milan, who are in 33rd.

The Premier League appears to be quite heavily weighted when it comes to the rankings, as the Serie A club is currently third in the Italian top flight.

Leeds fans will also particularly enjoy the fact they are positioned 15 places above Galatasaray as well.

The Whites also come in above other Champions League-winning clubs such as PSV (40th) and Marseille (58th).

The position of the Whites is yet another glowing example of the work Farke is putting in on the training ground and getting on the pitch.

Noah Okafor made correct career move by joining Leeds

Noah Okafor may be secretly delighted at this reveal after moving from AC Milan to the Whites in the last summer window.

It seems he has made the correct move by now joining a better side. While that is said in jest, he has been improving under Farke as well.

Okafor has been exceptional for the Elland Road outfit, but injuries have halted his progression various times.

The Whites’ medical staff has done tremendous work to keep players such as Dominic Calvert-Lewin fit after well-known reports of their injury issues.

Now, next season, they must do the same and concoct a plan for Okafor. When fit and ready to go, he is a major game changer, and those types of players do not come around often.
