Leeds United fire brutal dig at Crysencio Summerville ahead of West Ham clash

Leeds United‘s social team have wasted no time in bringing West Ham’s predicament to light.

The Whites travel to the London Stadium for their final encounter of the season to take on West Ham United.

With safety already confirmed weeks ago, Leeds have little else to play for aside from the staggered prize money that comes with finishing higher up the table.

On the other hand, the Hammers have it all to play for, knowing that anything less than a win will see them drop out of the top flight for the first time since 2012.

And with Summerville likely to feature, Leeds haven’t forgotten the way he departed Elland Road.

Cryscensio Summerville features in telling social media image

Social media graphics have certainly become a talking point at Leeds this season, mainly due to Anton Stach.

The German started the trend of posting fairly outrageous graphics to hint at their inclusion in a matchday squad, and Leeds have followed a similar design path with their latest matchday post.

Shared via X, the Whites have posted an image of Ethan Ampadu and Dominic Calvert-Lewin going up on an escalator, showcasing the trajectory of the club.

Going down is what appears to be the arm of Summerville, who could find himself back in the Championship by the end of the day.

It’s a very sly dig, but a dig nonetheless, and certainly not one that has gone unnoticed.

Is Summerville set to feature vs Leeds?

Regardless of what happens elsewhere, West Ham simply have to win this game against Leeds.

And even then they will be relying on Everton to beat Tottenham if they are to stay in the Premier League foir another season.

As a result, Nunon Espirito Santo will be expected to field a strong, potentially attacking lineup to face the Whites, which will almost certainly feature Summerville.

The Dutchman has featured just once against his former club since leaving, having suffered a 2-1 defeat back in October.
