Leeds United at risk of repeating 1982 misery as pressure slowly mounts on Daniel Farke
Leeds United have suffered from a distinct lack of goals in recent games.
A trip to Old Trafford beckons for the Whites on Monday night, with the stakes significantly higher after West Ham’s emphatic win over Wolves.
It means that Leeds enter the clash against Man United just three points above the drop zone, though that could change if Tottenham get a result against Sunderland on Sunday.
Nevertheless, a win for Daniel Farke‘s side would be huge against their rivals, though it would require a major improvement in performance.
Leeds have struggled for goals recently, and they are now just two games away from matching a 44-year low.

Leeds’ recent form is a major worry for more reasons than one
To find Leeds’ most recent Premier League victory, you would have to go back to 6 February, when they secured a 3-1 win over relegation rivals Nottingham Forest.
That was only their second league win of the year, and it remains that way almost halfway through April.
| Premier League | Venue |
| Leeds 0-0 Brentford | Elland Road |
| Crystal Palace 0-0 Leeds | Selhurst Park |
| Leeds 0-1 Sunderland | Elland Road |
| Leeds 0-1 Man City | Elland Road |
And as for the reason behind their lack of form, goals have been a major concern.
Leeds have failed to score in any of their last four Premier League games, which is the longest goalless run that has been seen from any side in the top flight in the current campaign.

But to add to that, it means that they are also just two games away from matching the unwanted feat back in 1982, when they went six games in a row without scoring.
Coincidentally, the Whites were also relegated in that campaign, which will be yet another omen that Farke and his Leeds side will be looking to avoid with seven games still to be played.
Is Daniel Farke under pressure at Elland Road?
When a team in the relegation battle have won just two games in almost four months, the manager is always going to be under some pressure, and for Farke, it’s no different.
Fans have already grown accustomed to Farke’s limitations in the Premier League, and they are starting to burn through at Elland Road given their recent form.
Their sudden drop will raise questions over his future in the summer, regardless of whether he is able to keep them in the top flight or not.
