Leeds United are unbeaten when playing on a Monday night in the Premier League this season, as they prepare for a trip to Old Trafford to face Man United.

Daniel Farke‘s side are still riding the high of beating West Ham on penalties in an FA Cup quarter-final classic at the London Stadium on Easter Sunday, booking their ticket to Wembley.

However, it remains to be seen just how much that game depleted the energy levels in the squad, which would be the last thing Leeds need at this stage of the season.

Anton Stach and Joe Rodon were forced off through injury against the Hammers, as Farke’s men came away with the capital sporting some bruises despite their victory.

So, with Leeds taking on Man United on Monday night, Farke will be crossing his fingers that his players will be rested and recovered enough to give their bitter rivals a good game at Old Trafford.

What is Leeds United’s league record on Monday night?

Leeds drew 1-1 with Man United at Elland Road in this season’s reverse fixture, with a mad three minutes in the second half seeing Brenden Aaronson give the Whites the lead, only for Matheus Cunha to equalise straight after.

The Elland Road faithful are desperate to see their team get back to winning ways in the league, with their last win in the top flight coming on 6 February in a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest.

With the team sitting on 33 points, one more victory would go an awful long way to securing their Premier League status for the 2026-27 season.

And, what sweeter place to get a win for a Leeds fan than at Old Trafford, which would in turn could put a dent on United’s top four chances should others around Michael Carrick’s side win their games.

That’s going to be far easier said than done for Farke’s men, but they do have an unbeaten record on Monday night football this season to protect.

Indeed, Leeds have placed twice on a Monday evening in the Premier League this season, both of which were against Everton.

The first of those two games was matchday one of the campaign, with Leeds winning that 1-0 thanks to a Lukas Nmecha penalty, whereas at the reverse fixture on 26 January saw them play out a 1-1 draw.

So, whilst it’s not a huge sample size of evidence, it’s something for the superstitious Leeds supporter to lean into ahead of their meeting with the Red Devils.

But what have Man United been like themselves when playing on Monday night this season? Well, unlike Leeds, they aren’t unbeaten.

They’ve lost once, won two and drawn one of their four league games on the opening day of the week this term, with their sole defeat coming against Everton on matchday 12.

Since then, they’ve beaten Wolves 4-1 on matchday 15, got revenge on Everton with a 1-0 win on matchday 27, and drew in a 4-4 classic with Bournemouth on matchday 16 respectively.
