Daniel Farke will be quietly punching the air over Tottenham chaos that only aids Leeds United

Daniel Farke will know deep down that the current uncertainty at Tottenham Hotspur only helps Leeds United following the departure of Igor Tudor.

Spurs announced the exit of Tudor this week, which came just after the tragic passing of his father, as the Lilywhites also face a battle for Premier League relegation.

Leeds are sitting in 15th, three points ahead of Tottenham, with the latter now scrambling around for a managerial replacement once again.

Farke believes that the Whites may only need 40 points to stay up, which suggests that seven more are needed, but that would also depend on others around them slipping up.

Out of all the relegation-threatened sides, Spurs are currently looking in the worst shape, which makes Leeds’ chances of Premier League survival look even better

Tottenham manager search is comical, Leeds United could be safe already

The right manager could help Spurs climb out of the relegation zone, but that doesn’t mean the atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will instantly improve.

Leeds supporters may have seen on social media that Tottenham fans welcomed their team bus to the ground with a parade in their last game, which included pyros and plenty of loud chants, but ultimately, it was no help anyway.

Leeds will be looking at Tottenham’s manager search now as something comical, with the likes of Glenn Hoddle and Tim Sherwood both being strongly linked.

The momentum is well and truly in Leeds’ favour now, and though Spurs aren’t out of it yet, the optics are something that Farke will fancy.

The Whites will face off against Spurs on Saturday, 9 May, in what could be the most important game of the season for both sides.

This is why Leeds must have great focus on their own task at hand

Leeds have better fixtures on paper than Tottenham, and are set to take on the likes of Wolves, Burnley and Brighton at Elland Road.

Though these fixtures look tasty right now, the Whites have to shake off their goal-scoring worries that are starting to creep back into play.

Granted, Leeds have been unable to play Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha together as much in recent games, but the reintroduction of the striking partnership against Brentford and Crystal Palace didn’t leave fans blown away.

The first league game back after the international break is Manchester United at Old Trafford, which has the threat of being another disappointing result.

If a few goals can be found against the Red Devils, Leeds might be able to get back their magic touch in front of goal at the right time.
