Daniel Farke will be highly concerned with latest Leeds United late goals reveal
Daniel Farke will be worried after his Leeds United side’s habit of conceding late goals after the FA Cup win over West Ham.
The Whites looked to be cruising at the London Stadium on 5 April, after Ao Tanaka and Dominic Calvert-Lewin put them two goals ahead.
However, Mateus Fernandes and Axel Disasi scored in added time to send the contest to an extra 30 minutes and a penalty shootout.
It was the 11th goal that the Whites have conceded in the 90th minute and beyond this season, as revealed by Opta.
Leeds are fighting against relegation, and they need to be more secure defensively heading into the final few weeks of the campaign.

Why Farke will be concerned at Leeds reveal
Leeds need to stop conceding late goals, as that could severely hamper their attempts to get out of relegation danger.
Farke’ side are only four points above the relegation zone, they are nowhere near safety with seven matches still to play until all is decided.
If they continue to concede late goals in the next few matches, it could leave them in a very precarious position in the league table.
| West Ham vs Leeds stats | West Ham | Leeds |
| Possession | 55% | 45% |
| Shots | 22 | 21 |
| Shots on target | 6 | 8 |
| Passes | 494 | 377 |
| Tackles | 24 | 23 |
| Interceptions | 6 | 14 |
The reveal will be very concerning reading for the German manager, as he tries to keep his team in the top-flight.
Farke has another worry that will make it worse
Leeds have struggled to score goals recently, so the latest data will surely be even more concerning.
It would not be as bad if the likes of Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor were scoring goals regularly, as they would not need to worry as much about conceding.
However, the former Everton man has not scored, minus his goals against the Irons, since the 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest on 6 February.
| Leeds’ forward’s stats this season | Goals | Last goal before West Ham game | Minutes played |
| Dominic Calvert-Lewin | 10 | vs Notts Forest, 6 February | 2,205 |
| Lukas Nmecha | 7 | vs Birmingham City, 15 February | 1,249 |
| Noah Okafor | 4 | vs Chelsea, 10 February | 1,632 |
Nmecha has not bagged since the fourth round of the FA Cup, the shootout win over Birmingham City on 15 February.
Meanwhile, Okafor has not notched a strike since the 2-2 draw with Chelsea on 10 February, although he has missed several games through injury.
Overall, it is a very worrying picture for Farke, and he needs to address both issues as soon as possible, or it could haunt the Peacocks and they may end up back in the Championship.
