Calvert-Lewin has to stand up as Leeds 90 mins from unwanted 44-year Elland Road record
Dominic Calvert-Lewin played his part as Leeds United earned a famous 2-1 win at Old Trafford on Monday night.
But the England international will be aware that he is now six games without a goal in the Premier League for Leeds.
Going further back, it is just one goal – in the 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest on 6 February – in his past 10 top-flight matches.
Noah Okafor was the hero away at Manchester United with a couple of first-half goals, helping to lift the workload off DCL’s shoulders.
It is now over to Calvert-Lewin to find his scoring boots again as Leeds prepare to face bottom side Wolves at Elland Road.

Leeds could match scoreless Elland Road run dating back almost five decades
Calvert-Lewin was certainly involved in the thick of the action against fierce rivals Man United, even if he did not score.
Lisandro Martinez pulled back on Calvert-Lewin’s hair to get himself sent off – a decision Man United have appealed against.

He will now be eager to net at Elland Road this weekend, which is something he has not managed since that aforementioned win over Forest nearly two-and-a-half months ago.
In fact, no Leeds player has scored at Elland Road in four of the Whites’ past five top-flight matches, including the last three in a row.

That means should Leeds fail to net this weekend, it will be the first time since March 1982 – when Allan Clarke was in charge – that United have gone four in a row without a home league goal.
For all the positivity following the victory at Old Trafford, which itself was a first in the league since 1981, failing to beat bottom side Wolves on Saturday would once again cause some panic.
Leeds could do something for first time this season vs Wolves
Daniel Farke‘s men have made a habit of not being able to properly propel themselves away from relegation danger over the past few months.
With a six-point gap as things stand, though, the Whites appear to be on the verge of safety.

That is despite not winning back-to-back Premier League games all season, making them the only side yet to do so.
Farke will be desperate to change that this weekend, then, against a Wolves side destined for Championship football.
If Leeds ends that scoreless home drought and pick up the win, whether through Calvert-Lewin or anyone else, they will move another step closer to achieving the only mission that mattered this season.
