Bournemouth vs Leeds preview: Team news, likely lineups, score prediction in Premier League
Bournemouth welcome Leeds United to the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday, as Daniel Farke’s side look to continue on in their survival charge.
Beating Wolves 3-0 at Elland Road on Saturday, the Whites capped off a fantastic week, having secured their first win at Old Trafford since 1981 just five days prior.
Since returning from the international break, Leeds have been impeccable, with the FA Cup shootout win against West Ham backed up with six crucial league points.
Heading into the midweek clash, the gap to the bottom three sits at eight points, with Tottenham drawing with Brighton on Saturday.
Looking to secure survival, as well as build momentum for the coming FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, Farke’s side face an in-form Bournemouth, who are unbeaten in 12 matches.

Head-to-head
The first Premier League meeting between Bournemouth and Leeds did not come until the 2022-23 term – the year that would end in relegation for the Whites.
As a result, the two clubs have only met three times in the top flight, with the record as even as they come across this run.
| Stat | Bournemouth | Leeds |
| Wins | 1 | 1 |
| Draws | 1 | 1 |
| Goals scored | 7 | 9 |
When it comes to the all-time history between the two sides, the Whites dominate, with 10 wins to Bournemouth’s two.
Although the sides are often separated by divisions, the Cherries have met Leeds only 15 times in history, with the fixture a relatively new one.
Team news and predicted lineups
Heading into Wednesday, Farke faces a dilemma, with a trip to Wembley coming up on Sunday.
While there is a chance to rotate, given the points gap to the bottom three, the boss stressed after Saturday’s win that the job is not fully done. And the simple fact is that the Whites must keep up the momentum.
With this in mind, Farke cannot go too heavy on the rotation, but it may see Lukas Nmecha come in up top, partnering Dominic Calvert-Lewin, while Noah Okafor drops to the bench after starring upon his injury return.
Rarely-seen midfielder Sean Longstaff could also come in, with Ao Tanaka showing his class in recent matches during Anton Stach’s absence.

Joe Rodon could also come in at the back, having made his return to the squad against Wolves.
Both the aforementioned Stach and Dan James remain sidelined, but are set to return to the fold in the coming weeks, with little need for risks to be taken.
For Bournemouth, Andoni Iraola is expecting both Justin Kluivert and Lewis Cook to return to action at the end of the month, while Julio Soler is a doubt.
Bournemouth predicted XI: Petrovic; Jimenez, Hill, Senesi, Truffert; Scott, Christie; Rayan, Kroupi, Tavernier; Evanilson
Leeds predicted XI: Darlow; Rodon, Bijol, Struijk; Bogle, Ampadu, Longstaff, Gudmundsson; Aaranson; Nmecha, Calvert-Lewin
We say: Bournemouth 1-1 Leeds
With a trip to Wembley just around the corner, Leeds must keep up the momentum on their travels to the South Coast.
Farke’s side have been in fine form as of late, and this could carry them through a difficult outing against a European chasing side, taking the Whites’ point tally up to 40 with four to go.
