Leeds United are preparing to face Brentford in their next Premier League outing on Saturday.

The Whites will welcome Keith Andrew’s side to Elland Road with the hope of getting back to winning ways.

Daniel Farke has gone five without a league win and still has one eye over his shoulder, looking towards the relegation battle.

Things are looking a lot better for the Bees, who could still qualify for Europe this season, but injuries could yet play their part.

Noah Okafor has been a big miss for Leeds, but there may be some light at the end of the tunnel ahead of the LS11 meeting.

Leeds United without one as Noah Okafor eyes return

It has been a tough patch in recent weeks for the Yorkshire outfit, as a drop back to the Championship remains a threat.

That will make the potential return of Okafor all the more exciting after a largely positive debut season since his move from AC Milan.

Farke revealed on Thursday that the Switzerland international is back in training, leaving the German with a lack of selection problems.

He said: “[Okafor] is back in team training since the beginning of the week… So, everyone’s available, no one’s out.

“Of course, he was out for several weeks, so the question, more or less, is how many minutes he has in the tank.”

That means Leeds will only be without Gabriel Gudmundsson at Elland Road after his bizarre red card against Crystal Palace last time out.

The current state of the squad could ultimately hand Leeds an advantage over Brentford, who look worse for wear right now.

If Farke is happy with the injury situation in LS11, the same certainly can’t be said at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Andrews looks set to be without seven players as his side prepares to travel to Yorkshire off the back of three consecutive draws.

Fabio Carvalho, Antoni Milambo, Josh Dasilva, Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey and Vitaly Janelt have all been ruled out with knee and thigh injuries and won’t feature against Leeds.

There is doubt surrounding Mikkel Damsgaard, but it appears that he is set to undergo a late fitness test to see if he can play a role.
