Leeds United: Daniel Farke may have to adapt as Calvert-Lewin injury concern emerges
Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a doubt ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final against West Ham.
The striker returned from England duty earlier this week, after Thomas Tuchel made the decision not to risk the forward in the 1-0 loss against Japan.
Calvert-Lewin made the move to Elland Road last summer, joining after a tough period with Everton.
Since then, he has proven talismanic up top for the Whites, as they look to secure their Premier League survival following their ascent last May.
Though with Daniel Farke’s side in action against West Ham this weekend, he may have to do without his 10-goal striker.

Daniel Farke confirms Calvert-Lewin question mark ahead of FA Cup clash
Calvert-Lewin has been able to revive his career in West Yorkshire after a disappointing period on Merseyside.
Getting himself back involved with England, the move has worked out for all parties, with his goals putting Leeds on track for survival.

However, boss Farke revealed that he is an injury doubt heading into Sunday’s clash.
Speaking at his press conference on Thursday afternoon, he said: “Dominic ended yesterday’s training session earlier because he felt some hamstring problems. Same today, not involved so a question mark behind his availability.”
“Hopefully just a minor problem,” he added later on.
“Lots of travelling, different circumstances, sometimes it can happen. Yesterday in training, he felt a little problem with his hamstring and didn’t want to risk anything.
“Today, we decided to scan him as a precaution. I hope he’s back in team training tomorrow, but we have to assess him. I hope he’s with us on Sunday.”
Following the return from the international break, Farke outlined the goings on with the rest of the squad.
“Everyone back from today,” he said. “Handful had just a recovery session. They’ll be back in team training tomorrow.
“There are a few minor issues and little knocks, we will take some late decisions on who will travelling with us.
“Anton Stach was struggling with some hip problems yesterday, but that shouldn’t be a problem.”
Leeds take on West Ham at the London Stadium, as the pair go head to head for a spot in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Leeds potentially missing a big star for big cup occasion
Sunday’s cup tie could carry huge implications for both Leeds and West Ham, with the pair locked in a battle at the wrong end of the Premier League.
While the obvious Wembley reward is on the line, so is the momentum that both Farke and Nuno Espirito Santo will crave as they look to get back to form.
As of now, Leeds will potentially have to do that without their top scorer.

Since joining the club last summer, the England international has proven a big presence up top.
Not only does he have the ability to find himself in perfect goalscoring positions, his overall presence gives his teammates something to aim for when moving the ball forward.
Lukas Nmecha has proven an adequate back-up during previous absences, and the return of Noah Okafor will provide further aid, but it would be a far from ideal scenario to go into such a big occasion without the Whites’ top scorer.
