Leeds United Fantasy Premier League – Winners and losers from August

Leeds United supporters will have several decisions to make over their Fantasy Premier League teams.

Given the fact that they have just been promoted from the Championship, Leeds had several good options for this year’s Fantasy Premier League.

Many supporters backed last year’s promotion-winners to deliver in the Premier League, while others chose the summer additions to get them the points over the course of the campaign.

With that in mind, MOT Leeds News takes a look at who scored what for August, and how users adjusted their teams accordingly.

Gabriel Gudmundsson proves his worth for Leeds

Despite a shaky performance in the defeat to Arsenal, Leeds appear to have found a gem with Gabriel Gudmundsson, and that is replicated by FPL.

The Swede is Leeds’ highest-scoring player in the game, having accumulated a total of 17 points from the first three games in August.

Joe Rodon isn’t far behind him with 16, and Jaka Bijol may have to wait for his chance to shine at Leeds, with Pascal Struijk also on 14 points.

3.8 per cent of players now have Gudmundsson in their FPL team, with all three of Leeds’ highest-scoring players being defenders.

Leeds’ forward line is failing to deliver

Lukas Nmecha scored Leeds’ only goal of the season so far, and as a result, he is the highest-scoring forward with just eight points.

Dan James has six, while Willy Gnonto is struggling to make an impression with just five points in his first three games of the season.

Some 3,735 players have taken James out of their team for the upcoming week, with a similar number doing the same for Gnonto.

Joel Piroe has accumulated just three points, with over 20,000 people taking him out of their squad, which, given the fact that he has not been starting, is not a surprise.

Patrick Bamford is the most transferred-out player at Leeds, though it certainly begs the question as to why over 24,000 people had him in their team in the first place.
