Leeds’ greatest ever wins vs Tottenham: Eric Cantona masterclass and FA Cup shock
Leeds face Tottenham at Elland Road this Saturday in the Premier League.
Leeds welcome Tottenham to Elland Road on Saturday lunchtime as they look to maintain their unbeaten home record in the Premier League.
A win for Leeds could potentially take them to the European spots, as their impressive start to the campaign looks to continue.
Leeds are underdogs against Spurs, but Daniel Farke’s side will be confident they can cause an upset, having been in good form recently.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash, MOT Leeds News looks back at some classic clashes between the two sides over the years.

Eric Cantona stars in five-star performance
Leeds and Tottenham faced off for the first time in the newly formed Premier League in August 1992.
Eric Cantona was the inspiration for the Whites, scoring the first ever Premier League hat-trick as his side romped home to a 5-0 win at Elland Road.
Rod Wallace and Lee Chapman got a goal each for the reigning English champions, who ended up finishing 17th, narrowly avoiding relegation.
Cantona controversially moved to Manchester United in November that season, causing Leeds’ season to collapse.
Mark Viduka and Alan Smith fire Leeds to victory in thriller
Spurs arrived at Elland Road on 30 September 2000, days after Leeds demolished Besiktas 6-0 in the Champions League
Sergei Rebrov fired home for the visitors after 37 minutes to put Leeds behind, but two quick-fire goals from Mark Viduka early in the second half turned it around.
Alan Smith put two between the sides just moments later for a third Leeds goal in seven minutes.
Tottenham defender Chris Perry gave them a lifeline when he headed home on the hour mark to reduce the deficit, but Smith added his second header of the game to make it 4-2 before Rebrov’s late goal set up a tense finish.
Leeds reached the Champions League semi-final this season, being defeated by Valencia 3-0 on aggregate.
Ross McCormack sends Tottenham crashing out of the FA Cup
Neil Warnock’s charges caused a real upset on 27 January 2013, when they defeated Tottenham 2-1 at Elland Road.
Luke Varney opened the scoring for the Championship side just 15 minutes into the game. Ross McCormack made it 2-0 just shy of the hour mark, turning inside Steve Caulker and slamming home.
Clint Dempsey grabbed a goal for Tottenham, but Leeds hung on to clinch a spot in the fifth round.
Leeds were defeated 4-0 by Manchester City in the next round, and finished 13th in the Championship, with Warnock leaving at the end of the season.
Leeds will be hoping to make Elland Road a fortress this season and will hopefully draw some inspiration from the games previously against Spurs.
